Overview (U):

(U) The Command Center Processing and Display System Replacement (CCPDS-R) is one of six Cheyenne Mountain Upgrade component programs and provides the capability to correlate and fuse missile warning information from space based and ground based sensors at the Cheyenne Mountain and Alternate Missile Warning Centers, as well as report the status of missile warning information to worldwide user locations.


Description (U):

(U) The system consists of DEC VAX-based hardware and associated peripheral equipment, and is in an O&M mode for both hardware and operationally dictated software changes.

User Impact (U):

(U) CCPDS-R, as a part of the Cheyenne Mountain Complex (CMC), supports the Commander-in-Chief of North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Space Command (CINCNORAD/USCINCSPACE) in providing the National Command Authorities (NCA), U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) and other forward users with early warning and assessment of missile, air and space attack on North America or U.S. allies.
