Overview (U):

(U) The Feltwell Passive Radio Frequency (RF) space surveillance site tracks satellites using RF signal emmisions to compute angle of arrival observations. This site provides coverage of geosynchronous satellites utilizing the Deep Space Tracking System (DSTS).


Description (U):

(U) The 2nd Command and Control Squadron (2CACS), housed at Schriever AFB, is the command and control node for the passive radio frequency (RF) sensors, which includes the 5th Space Surveillance Squadron (RAF Feltwell, UK). The Feltwell site is used for the tracking of deep space objects.

User Impact (U):

(U) Loss of Feltwell would have significant impact on the space surveillance mission and maintenance of the space catalogue.
