Overview (U):

(U) The purpose of Radiant BREEZE is to provide operational intelligence and a common picture of the battlefield to allies during coalition operations.

Description (U):

(U) The Radiant BREEZE concept is to broadcast organic, theater and national systems information -- from U.S. tactical data processors (e.g. Joint Maritime Command Information Systems), through accredited sanitization software (e.g. Radiant Mercury) -- to allies equipped with PC-based tactical data processors.

(U) Radiant BREEZE provides "loaner" assets to U.S. numbered fleet commanders that can be installed in allied ships for use during specific operations, and returned to U.S. control upon completion of the activity. Permanent capability for allied units can be pursued through the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) part of the Joint Maritime Command Information System (JMCIS) program.

(U) Radiant BREEZE is presently hosted on the Secret-level S-TRED 6.1 system. An unclassified software version is planned, specifically for those users who do not require the tactical receiver filter control capabilities to S-TRED 6.1.

(U) A second initiative is to develop software to permit STRD-6.1 to control filters on the CTT-H/R tactical receiver.
